Boniface Mwangi asserted that Raila doesn't learn from his past mistakes, likening his meeting with Pastor Ezekiel to scoring an own goal.

Activist Boniface Mwangi has faulted ODM leader Raila Odinga for showing solidarity with Pastor Ezekiel Odero.

The New Life Prayer Center and Church founder was released from police custody on Thursday, May 4.

Raila would then call on him at his vast residence in Kilifi on Saturday, May 6.

Mwangi now asserts the ODM leader could be after cleansing the preacher.

According to him, Raila ought not to have been quick in associating with Ezekiel as the police continue with their probe into his conduct.

Among the reasons for his arrest and detention were alleged involvement in mass killing of his followers and suspected links with Pastor Paul Mackenzie, another controversial cleric in whose church over a hundred faithful have died.

The activist implied that by associating himself with Ezekiel, Raila is doing a disservice to himself.

Activist Boniface Mwangi.

"Raila Odinga loves scoring own goals! Life is brutal to those who never learn from their past mistakes," said Mwangi.

Besides Raila, Mwangi alleged that Ezekiel is also being protected by President William Ruto.

The activist suggested that owing to his ties with the two political leaders, Ezekiel might walk away wit the atrocities he is suspected to have meted on his followers.

He wondered why the preacher would have a morgue operating within his complex church.

"This probe will cleanse him. William Ruto and Raila Odinga are followers of this man. Ruto’s and Rigathi’s wife worship the ground he walks on. He is untouchable.

Anyway, only fools would believe in a man who claims is healer but runs a mortuary as part of his “healing” ministry," said Mwangi.

The preacher is currently out on bail terms.

He is suspected to have masterminded the deaths of some of his followers before ferrying them to Shakahola where they were buried.
