“I believe that my son was murdered at DJ Fatxo's house. He did not commit suicide."

The late Jeff Mwathi’s Mother Anne Mwathi has expressed disappointment on how the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) probed the death of his son.

Speaking on Monday, May 8 in Njoro Nakuru, Jeff’s mother insisted that his son was murdered at DJ Fatxo’s house.

“I believe that my son was murdered at DJ Fatxo's house. He did not commit suicide.

“Why should the DCI put me through all this including exhuming the body of my son and there are no arrests,” she stated.

Jeff’s mother also revealed that she is yet to receive an autopsy report after a post-mortem was conducted on Jeff’s body by Chief government pathologist, Johansen Oduor.

“We do not expect the report taken to the DCI will bring results. We did not get the autopsy report yet, we do not know anything,” she said.

DCI homicide detectives in April forwarded the file on the investigations into Jeff’s death to the Director of Public Prosecutions for action.

“The file is now complete and has been forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions for perusal and advice, ”the DCI said.

The detectives also stated that the cause of death is still inconclusive but said that suicide is the strongest explanation since the suspects in the case could not be pinned to the death.
