Jubilee Party Vice Chairman David Murathe has announced that the former ruling party’s National Delegates Conference (NDC) will go on as earlier planned.

Addressing the media on Thursday May 11 at the Jubilee Party headquarters in Nairobi, Murathe stated that they are currently doing preparations for the NDC that will be held at Bomas of Kenya on May 22, 2023.

“The status currently is that we are going ahead with our preparations for the National Delegates Conference (NDC) called by the party leader on May 22, 2023 at the Bomas of Kenya,” said Murathe.

He at the same time asked the Jubilee faction allied to EALA MP Kanini Kega to attend the NDC so that they can ask for votes from delegates.

“The delegates are final, they will decide. If you want a position in the party ask the delegates to vote for you. You cannot impose yourself by holding conferences in the streets,” Murathe added.

“Take notice that the Jubilee Party National Executive Committee (NEC) has suspended the notice for a Special National Delegates Conference published in the print media on April 29,” the notice read.

The EALA MP stated that the former ruling party will soon convene a special delegates convention.

“The party will in due course issue a notice convening a Special National Delegates Conference pursuant to the resolution of NEC dated February 2023,” he added.
