Raila Odinga exchanged pleasantries with President William Ruto, his deputy Rigathi Gachagua before proceeding to his seat.

Former prime minister Raila Odinga is in Njabini, Nyandarua County, to grace the burial of the late Mama Mukami Kimathi, the wife of freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi.

The former premier is sharing a stage with his political nemesis led by President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua. 

Despite their political animosity, Ruto and his deputy accorded the Azimio La Umoja leader a warm reception on Saturday, May 13.

Raila arrived at the venue for the service moments after the president and his deputy. 

In the ODM leader's company was Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni.

Raila paid his last respects to the deceased by viewing her body. 

He would then proceed to his seat but before then, the president and his deputy shook hands with him.
