High Court Judge Olga Sewe termed the application as misconceived and untenable.

The High Court in Mombasa has turned down an application by Pastor Ezekiel Odero of the New Life Prayer Centre and Church seeking to have his 15 bank accounts unfrozen.

Pastor Ezekiel is being investigated for at least 14 offences that include; murder, aiding suicide, abduction, radicalisation, genocide, crimes against humanity, child cruelty, fraud and money laundering.

He is yet to be charged in court.

High Court Judge Olga Sewe termed the application as misconceived and untenable hence she will refrain from commenting on the legality of the orders issued by a magistrate court in Nairobi blocking the accounts.

At the same time, the High Court declined to issue orders to have Pastor Ezekiel's new Life Tv license restored.

Sewe argued that the religious leader had not exhausted all legal parameters with Communication Authority before moving to the court.

Odero had moved to the court on May 3 seeking conservatory orders to prevent the government from freezing over 15 personal and church bank accounts.

Ezekiel, who was released on Sh3 million bond with a similar amount of surety or an alternative of Sh1.5 million cash bail, has been linked to controversial Malindi-based preacher Paul Mackenzie.

The religious leader has however denied the links.
