At least 9 major roads in Nairobi will not be  accessible for motorists this coming Sunday, May 21,2023.

This is due to the Annual Gertrude's Family Cancer Walk 2023 scheduled to happen on the said date.

Gertrude's Family Cancer Walk is an annual event that raises funds for Gertrude's Children's Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya.

They open the walk to all ages, where participants walk 3 or 6 kilometres.

"We wish to notify the general public that there will be traffic disruption along Southern Bypass - Langata Road - Aerodome Road - Bunyala Road - Lower Hill Road - Elgon Road - Hospital Road - Upper Hill Links Road - Mbagathi Way," notice on the disruption read in part.

"Traffic police will be on-site to enable smooth flow of traffic," the notice further stated.

The disruption will occur beginning 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, after which the roads will be opened for public use.

Motorists  have bee advised to use alternative routes to avoid any inconveniences.
