Former president Uhuru Kenyatta, the national chairman of one faction of the party, confirmed he would attend the meeting.

The Jubilee Party faction under the stewardship of former president Uhuru Kenyatta has secured a new venue for their upcoming National Delegates Conference (NDC).

The political outfit has scheduled the meeting to be held on Monday, May 22.

In a notice signed by Uhuru and which would be published in a local daily, the party said the said meeting would go on as planned.

It would be held at the Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi County.

"Notice is hereby given that the venue of the Jubilee NDC has been moved to Ngong Racecourse.

Former president Uhuru Kenyatta with members of Jubilee at the party's headquarters.

All other details remain as per the notice published on April 29, 2023," read the notice.

The party had announced its plans to use the Bomas of Kenya before the request was revoked.

Its option of using the Kasarani Auditorium was also revoked.

This comes in the face of a back and forth between the Uhuru-led wing and the breakaway faction under nominated MP Sabina Chege.

The two wings have both been claiming the substantive leadership of the outfit that is an affiliate member of the larger Azimio La Umoja Coalition Party.

The Sabina-led faction is leaning toward President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza side.
