First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto visited her former school, Butere Girls, in Kakamega County on Thursday. 

Her visit triggered excitement as students and teachers welcomed her warmly to the school.

"I had the opportunity to pay a surprise visit to the amazing students at Butere Girls Secondary School, my alma mater. It was truly refreshing to see their dedication and enthusiasm for learning," Mama Rachel said. 

During the visit, Mama Rachel encouraged the girls to stay focused on their studies and work hard to achieve their goals.

"Education is the key to unlocking endless possibilities, and I wanted to instil in them the belief that their dreams are valid," she added.

She went o encourage Kenyans to support the academic aspiration fo their children and empower them to create a better Kenya.

Mama Rachel encouraged Kenyans to emulate her and visit their former schools for empowerment programs.

During her visit, Mama Rachel donated bicycles to students to help them in exercising.
