The Head of State noted that it was not easy for Governor Waiguru to complete the project saying there were some individuals who opposed the construction of the facility.

“Building such a project is not easy. I have visited Kirinyaga severally and I know there are many people who were opposing this project…. If Waiguru was a person who can be easily threatened she would have stopped this project but you were courageous and stood firm, that’s why we have an iconic health facility in Kirinyaga,” Ruto added.

Waiguru on her part said the completion of the Kerugoya Hospital modern complex was a dream come true.

“I am very greatly honored to stand before you and expressed my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to God for granting us the opportunity to witness an achievement that can be described as a dream come true,” Waiguru stated.
