"When nobody knew Hon Moses Kuria he came to Nation Center and begged for a column with Business Daily."

Investigations and Special Projects editor at Daily Nation John Kamau has claimed that Trade and Investment CS Moses Kuria once approached Nation Media Group for a job.

Kamau who has been at the Nation Media Group for years divulged that the CS came begging for the job and was granted an opportunity to write for a Business Daily column.

Though he did not specify the time, details shared by Kamau indicate that the time could be in the build-up to the 2007 General Elections.

Kamau adds that while there were plans to have him enrolled in payroll, the CS went missing and focused on the PNU politics, a party that Kenya's third President Mwai Kibaki used for his 2007 re-election bid.

"When nobody knew Hon Moses Kuria he came to Nation Center and begged for a column with Business Daily. We met. He started writing for us on the economy. I wanted to prepare a contract for him, but he vanished into PNU politics," Kamau tweeted.

The revelation by Kamau comes in the wake of a storm facing the CS for hurling unprintable remarks towards the NMG.

Kuria who was implicated in an oil scam went bare-knuckle on the media house vowing to block the station from any government advert.

But in an apparent swipe at the CS, Kamau reminded him of the role the media house played in his career growth.

"Today, he forgets part of the ladder he used. Moses Behave!"
