“He gave me the refund of the 10 percent deposit and I moved out."

Labour Cabinet Secretary Florence Bore has broken silence after moving out of Gatanga MP Edward Muriu’s Ksh 120 million Karen home following a tussle.

Speaking on Thursday, June 22, CS Bore stated that she moved out of the MP’s home after she was refunded her 10 percent deposit.

CS Bore also explained that she moved out of the home at night since she was working at her ministry during the day.

“He gave me the refund of the 10 percent deposit and I moved out. There was a question that I moved out at night, it was because I was working during the day, I actually worked that day until nine pm. When I came home I saw he had already released the deposit to my account, I searched for a house, and within an hour I had a new home. It was a blessing in disguise,” she stated.

This comes after Muriu accused CS Bore of moving into the home using unorthodox means. The Gatanga MP on Sunday claimed to have the home’s keys despite CS Bore moving in.

"Ufunguo wa Nyumba the main door ndio hii niko nayo. Ufunguo wa Kitchen ndio hii niko nayo. Ufunguo wa balcony ndio hii niko nayo. Sasa aliingilia wapi? Kwa hivyo alivunja nyumba na akaingia ndani," he said.

Bore has however maintained that she did not use any force to move into the home adding that the MP should have talked to her about the issue.

“It was not something big, we should have discussed it. If he had gotten another buyer, I had no issues and I didn’t use any force. We finished amicably, it was a willing seller, willing buyer,” Bore stated.
