The Standard Media Group has yet again suffered a blow after two of its top KTN news anchors called it quits.

The Standard Media Groups own The Standard Newspaper, KTN News, Radio Maisha, KTN Home, Spice FM,  Vybez Radio and many other products.

Ahmed Bahajj who was anchoring Sports News and Fred Indimuli who was in charge of prime time general news bulletin have left the station.

The two are rumoured to be heading to TV47 which is undergoing transformation in a bid to cement its place in the Kenyan market.

Bahajj has left KTN News after four years, and six months. He was a show host, news anchor, and reporter.

"It has been a pleasure working with one of the best media houses in the country. I leave a proud journalist," he wrote.

Bahajj hosted Zilizala Viwanjani and Kipi Sijasikia during his time at the Mombasa road-based station.

Bahajj worked at China Radio International before joining KTN News.

Indumuli worked at KTN News as a news anchor, hosting Inside Politics.

Before joining KTN, Indimuli worked at KBC where he landed a job after being fired at Mediamax Network Limited.

At Mediamax, he was a prime-time news anchor at K24 TV.

Indimuli quit Citizen TV when he joined Mediamax Network Limited.
