The Government of Kenya has no problem with Azimio La Umoja Coalition's political rally on Tuesday, June 27, Nairobi Police Commander Adamson Bungei has said.
In a statement hours before the rally, Bungei said the National Police Service will deploy its officer at the rally to ensure maximum security.
“We are on the ground and we will ensure the rally is peaceful as possible. We are set to provide the needed security,” Bungei said.
Bungei has been the face of the government in combating Azimio protests in the past,

His clarification comes days after President William Ruto said he has no qualms with Azimio holding their protests.
He however said the protests only ought to be peaceful and fall within the confines of the law.
"I have no problem with Raila Odinga. I have no problem with him organising protests. There are protests here in Paris. I have just asked Raila and the company not to engage in violence and destruction of property. This is all because we are a democracy," Ruto said in an interview with France 24 in Paris, France last week
Azimio coalition is set to hold a mega rally on Tuesday to communicate its way forward following the passing of the Finance Bill. Ruto signed the Bill into law on Monday after it was passed by the National Assembly.
The coalition's top leadership had objected to the Bill saying it will make life unbearable for Kenyans.
ODM leader Raila Odinga, Narck Kenya Leader Martha Karua, Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and DAP-K's Eugene Wamalwa are expected to attend the rally among many others.
