  • President Uhuru Kenyatta shared a light moment with a little girl at Mudavadi's home

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday evening, January 6, visited the family of ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi following the loss of their mother Hannah Atsianzale.

During the night visit, Uhuru met a young girl who had waved at him when he was giving his speech.

The President walked up to the girl and chatted with her about wearing her face mask to school.

"Hi, mommy (sic). How are you doing? Are you wearing your mask when you go to school or are you forgetting?" the president asked as the little girl.

Support for Mudavadi Family

Uhuru further expressed his gratitude to those who had visited the Mudavadi family and offered their support during this period.

"President Uhuru Kenyatta visited the Nairobi home of Amani National Congress Party Leader, the Hon Musalia Mudavadi on Wednesday evening to condole with the Mudavadi Family following the death of their matriarch Mama Hannah Atsianzale Mudavadi," a statement from State House read.

Last week Mudavadi announced plans to bury their mother at the family’s Mululu home in Sabatia, Vihiga County.

Atsianzale’s death comes nearly three decades after the death of her husband and Mudavadi’s father Moses Mudamba Mudavadi an influential politician who died in 1989.
