The meeting held at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation in Nairobi is set to give a platform for deliberations ahead of the Wednesday protest.

ODM leader Raila Odinga has convened a meeting with key leaders of the Azimio La Umoja coalition including MPs and senators.

The coalition's top principals are expected to attend the meeting.

The meeting to be held at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation in Nairobi is set to give a platform for deliberations ahead of the Wednesday protests announced by the Azimio coalition.

The meeting will also give a roadmap for demos called by the coalition even as both the government and opposition clash over the planned protests.

Sources aware of the meeting said the coalition will address a press conference later in the day to address a myriad of issues regarding the protests.

The meeting is also expected to unveil a plan for how the protests will roll out across the country and the role each leader will play.

Another source told Nairobi Leo that the meeting will also talk about the government's plan on Wednesday following a State House meeting that is said to have unveiled measures to counter Azimio.

Raila's meeting comes two days after President William Ruto sanctioned a meeting at State House Nairobi with the Kenya Kwanza leaders.

It is during the State House meeting that it is believed a plan was hatched to counter Azimio protests.
