"You are not qualified to be the CS of Defence," MP Salasya previously told Duale.

Mumias East MP Peter Salaysa has congratulated Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale after his successful nomination to the position.

The lawmaker on Wednesday, October 26, posted a photo of himself with Duale as he urged him to work for all Kenyans maintaining that the politicking season was over.

"With the CS defense Hon Aden Duale this morning in the parliament. Congratulations for CS position now work for the Kenyans. Wakati wa siasa umeisha sasa ni kazi kwa wa Kenya sasa kiongozi," Salasya tweeted.

His remarks come after he hit out on the Garissa Township MP for his remarks on the first-time MP's presentation in Parliament.

It all started when Salaysa was making his maiden speech in the 13th Parliament where he had difficulties in addressing the House.

During his presentation, he kept on referring to Deputy National Assembly Speaker Gladys Shollei as 'Madam Speaker Sir' something that caught Duale's eye.

After the presentation, Duale took to Twitter to react as he posted:  "This is serious, can't be the August house. Mungu saidia."

Salasya the hit back at the Defence CS nominee maintaining that he was not qualified for the position adding that he will be the first to ask him questions in Parliament.

“Aden Duale even from the look of things, I was looking at you when you were saying that the first thing to do is to remove KDF from Somalia. You are going to bring more problems to this country. You are not qualified to be the CS of defence. And I’m telling you for free, I will be number one to ask you questions in parliament,” Salaysa said.
