President William Ruto on Thursday was on a tour of  Lamu County to launch projects even as he commenced his 5-day tour of the Coast Region. 

During the tour, President Ruto donned a shirt that has become a centre of discussion among many Kenyans.

The shirt was decorated with spots that appeared to be a marijuana plant, prompting more reactions among Kenyans.

Among those who reacted to the shirt is Roots Party Leader George Wajackoyah.

Wajackoyah has built an image of a person who is pro-bhang. The marijuana plant is one of the features that is used to identify his party.

"William Ruto you can put as many Bangi shirts as you can but that will still not save you from the hungry and angry public," Wajackoyah tweeted. 

Most Kenyans who weighed into the discussion also linked the shirt to the Marijuana plant.
