KDF Announces Mass Recruitment; How to Apply

The Ministry of Defence has announced recruitment at the Kenya Defence Forces.

The recruitment team consists of Kenya Army, the Kenya Air Force and the Kenya Navy.

Among those to be hired are the General Service Officers (GSO) Cadets which will include regular and Graduate degree holders, specialists officers, General Duty Recruits, Tradesmen/women and Defence Forces Constables.

Specialist Officers and tradesmen/women should have a minimum of two years of practising experience in their field of specialization.

The recruitment teams will be visiting recruitment centres on various dates between August and September to pick potential candidates.

The centres will be for the recruitment of General Service Officers (GSOs), Cadets, General Service Officer Cadets-graduate degree holders, General Duty Recruits and Defence Forces Constables.

Candidates must be between 18 years and 26 years. They should not be above 30 years of age for Specialist Officers and Tradesmen/women. 

Women seeking to be recruited should not be pregnant at the time of recruitment. 

All interested candidates for Specialist Officers and Tradesmen /women positions must apply online on the KDF website.

The deadline for applications for these categories is August 20, 2023. Shortlisted candidates will be notified through the print media between September 17 to 24, 2023.

Candidates must meet the minimum physical requirements: Minimum height of 1.60m, (5ft 3in) and women's 1.52m (5ft). The minimum weight for men is 54.55 kg and for women 50.00 Kg
