The comic said his sister died on the evening of Saturday, July 29.

Former Churchill Show comedian Mannerson Oduor is mourning the demise of his young sister.

The comic, who is better known by his stage name Akuku Danger Comedian, revealed his sister had been battling the Sickle Cell Disease.

She succumbed to it on the evening of Saturday, July 29.

"Woke up to the saddest news. My small sister went to be with the Lord last night," revealed a saddened Akuku Danger.

The funny man revealed he had also ailed from the disease before.

"Like Me, she was born with Sickle Cell Disease and she succumbed to it. Rest well warrior, Nind gi kwe Merwa Mapenzi Tele (sleep with peace my kin, lots of love)," he added.

Sickle Cell Disease patients have abnormal hemoglobin.

This leads to the red blood cells becoming hard and sticky and look like a C-shaped grass-cutting equipment called a “sickle.”

The cells die early, which causes a constant shortage of red blood cells.

As hinted earlier, Akuku Danger was also taken ill a few months back.

His close friend and fellow content creator Sandra Dacha revealed the comedian had been admitted in the ICU fighting for his life.

In a statement, Dacha asked Kenyans to keep the comedian in their prayers saying the sickness had taken a toll on him.

"Akuku Danger my babe is seriously sick. He is currently in the ICU. Your prayer will go a long way," Dacha stated.

Dacha at the same time appeared to suggest that the comedian could be footing his medical bills himself after she said hospitals were no longer allowing insurances.

Nevertheless, a host of comedians came out to wish him a quick recovery and even express their support in the difficult moment.

Fellow comedian, MCA Tricky reacted to the news by saying: "Oooh, get well Akuku brother".

Terrence Creative also weighed in and shared an image of him with the comedian and captioned; "Get well soon bro, be strong Akuku Danger. Keep my bro in prayer".

Dacha later mobilised financial help from Kenyans who channelled their contributions via a Pay Bill number to help offset the accrued medical bills.

Akuku Danger got well ultimately and got discharged from hospital.
