Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya was elated on Wednesday, August 2 after he was offered a helicopter ride to Busia County on Friday.
Speaking at the National Assembly during a plenary session, Salasya asked Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi to invite him to a meeting that will be held in Busia this week.
“Being a member of the Agriculture Committee, I am so proud of what he is doing. Mr. Cabinet Secretary, you should invite me to that meeting in Busia so that I can tell them that I have brought a message to you and you have acted on it,” Salasya asked CS Linturi.

The Agriculture CS while responding to Salasya said he will direct his Principal Secretary to give the first-term MP a ride in his chopper to the event.
“Mr. Speaker I will direct my PS to carry him in his chopper when he is doing that on Friday so that he can take part in this important event,” CS Linturi stated.
Salasya who was joyful interrupted the Agriculture CS’s speech saying he has never used a chopper before and will not want to be left out of the ride.
“I have never used a chopper, please I am begging to be on that trip,” the Mumias East MP said amid laughter from other MPs.
