"My friend Ahmednasir do not protect your tuff in Ruto Government. I cannot replace you

The move by Professor Mutahi Ngunyi to join President William Ruto's camp has occasioned a clash between him and lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi.

It all began after Ngunyi announced that he has officially dumped Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and will henceforth be working with President William Ruto.

The news was not warmly welcomed by Abdullahi who termed his decision as not worthy.

For starters, Ngunyi was Uhuru's political adviser at the time he severed ties with his then-deputy Ruto.

Ngunyi, however, appeared unmoved by the comment by the lawyer and went on to stamp his defection to Ruto's camp by firing salvos at Uhuru and his 2022 Presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

"I Mutahi Ngunyi has noticed the Coups in the Sahel corridor of West Africa. This is the last Liberation of Africa from the colonial project. The coup maker in Kenya, against the Colonizers, (Dynasties) is William Ruto. And if you do not agree, you can sit on a pin," Ngunyi tweeted.

President William Ruto.

Seemingly piqued by the trajectory Ngunyi was taking, Ahmednasir yet again hit out at him accusing him of bootlicking President Ruto.

The Lawyer went on to ask the President's camp to tame the analyst claiming that he is watering President Ruto's brand.

"This toady exhibition cheapens and dilutes the brand of H.E William Ruto...Office of the President must get an injunction stopping Prof Ngunyi's extravagant bootlicking!" Ahmednasir fired.

The response by the lawyer this time round seemed to have hit the analyst.

Ngunyi responded to Ahmednasir saying he is not after taking his place in Ruto's camp.

"My friend Ahmednasir do not protect your tuff in Ruto Government. I cannot replace you. But can we debate the Colonial Moment we are in today? And do you know what this is? Or are you one of the Tin-head theorists who use Latin Gibberish to get by? What is history telling you?" he posed.

Ngunyi a few days ago declared that he will henceforth back President Ruto. He backed Raila in the 2022 presidential polls.
