"I have hosted them (athletes) at my house because the CS is not bothered. They have told me some of the horror stories."

Uasin Gishu Woman Rep Glady Boss has slammed Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba over claims of mistreating Kenyan employees.

In an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday morning, Shollei claimed that the Kenyan sportsmen are indeed being mistreated.

She said most of these athletes have been forced to put on fake uniforms, a matter she says is an alarm on the State of Affairs in the ministry.

"Our team that went to Tunisia for the games were wearing fake Adidas sports shoes from River Road in Nairobi. The team that went to Tobago was also wearing fake uniforms," Shollei claimed.

"By the time a country reaches a point where our athletes are wearing fake uniforms, it means that there is something wrong with the management of sports."

Gladys Boss becomes the latest Kenya Kwanza MP to take on CS Ababu after Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah and Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei blasted the CS.

She said most of the athletes she has interacted with have opened up on the sad state of affairs in the sporting industry.

"I have hosted them (athletes) at my house because the CS is not bothered. They have told me some of the horror stories of what happens to them; they fly economy while ministry officials fly business class, and sometimes they have layovers of up to 14 hours," the Woman Rep said.
