"The National Police Service kindly invites members of the public to participate in the selection process for the proposed Kenya Police Service uniform," NPS said.

The National Police Service (NPS) has rolled out the process of changing uniforms for its officers. 

In a statement on Tuesday, August 29, NPS invited members of the public to the public participation exercise.

During the exercise, members of the public will be required to give their opinion about the uniforms and vote for their favourite designs.

"The National Police Service kindly invites members of the public to participate in the selection process for the proposed Kenya Police Service uniform," NPS said.

The exercise will be held on August 29, 2023, at the  Kenya Police Pavilion, South C, Nairobi. 

Another exercise will be held in the Central Region at Ruring'u Police Training College on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

On Thursday, August 31, 2023, NPS will conduct another Public Participation exercise at National Police College-Main Campus Kiganjo.

The blue uniform has come under criticism with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua promising during the campaigns that they will change the outfit.

Samples shared by NP indicate that the police will wear a sky blue shirt. The shirt is however in various designs' sleeved and short-sleeved.
