Governor Kang'ata appeared to have been shocked by Sakaja's visit to the county, apparently without notice.

Murang'a Governor Irungu Kang'ata is up in arms against his Nairobi Counterpart Johnson Sakaja following the latter's visit to his county.

Sakaja on Wednesday pitched a tent in Ndakaini dam in Murang'a where he assessed the situation. He also visited other dams in Kiambu and Nyandarua counties.

"Spent the day inspecting our water sources and treatment plants at Ndakaini Dam in Muranga, Ngethu Water Treatment Plant in Kiambu and Sasumua Dam in Nyandarua together with our water company leadership Nairobi Water MD and technical team together with Water CEC and Chief Officer," Sakaja posted on his Twitter platform.

The post seemingly caught Kang'ata by surprise as he took to his Twitter page to share a screenshot of Sakaja's tweet and said.

"Serious trespass."

Ndakaini being in Murang'a, it was expected that Kang'ata would have been part of the leaders to receive or accompany Sakaja in the area.

The comment by Kang'ata appears to suggest that he was not briefed on the tour, a move he feels is an invasion of his territory.

"Serious trespass. Wanted, "Dread or alive "." Kang'ata tweeted again even as he shared the screenshot of Governor Sakaja.

Ndakaini Dam was initially a subject of controversy between Nairobi County and Murang'a. The two counties wrestled over who was supposed to own the dam but the matter was resolved and handed to Nairobi County.

Workers at the dam are employees of Nairobi County and that could explain why Sakaja made a visit without informing Kang'ata.
