Kenya has recorded 151 new Covid-19 cases 

Four people succumbed to the disease and 168 new recoveries

 

Kenya has recorded 151 new Covid-19 cases after 2,927 samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman has said the national caseload now stands at 38,529.

Dr Aman also announced 168 new recoveries with 105 being patients who were under the home-based care system while 63 were discharged from various hospitals.

This brings the total number of recoveries in the country to 24,908.

Four people have also succumbed to the disease, bringing the total number of fatalities in the country to 711.


Counties Distribution

Nairobi still tops the list with 32 new cases while Nakuru and Kisumu follow with 24 and 22 cases respectively.
Garissa recorded (14), Mombasa (10), Meru (8) and Kajiado (8), Kisii (6), Bomet and Kiambu (5) cases each, Siaya (3), Uasin Gishu (2), Kilifi, Marsabit, Murang’a and West Pokot (2) cases each.

Kakamega, Bungoma, Nyamira, and Kitui recorded (1) case each.

KMA has warned against the full reopening of the country, saying the government must ensure the risk of community transmission is eliminated or significantly reduced.
