In a gazette notice released on Friday, September 15, Ruto appointed Moses Njenga Chege to be the Chairperson of the Insurance Regulatory Authority.

President William Ruto has made new appointments to three state agencies. 

In a gazette notice released on Friday, September 15, Ruto appointed Moses Njenga Chege to be the Chairperson of the Insurance Regulatory Authority for a period of three years. The appointment took effect on September 15. 

At the same time, President Ruto revoked the appointment of former Bumula MP Mwambu Mabonga who serving in the role.

Mwambu was however handed a new role in the same gazette notice. 

Ruto appointed him to be the Chairperson of the Non-Governmental Organization Coordination Board for a period of three years. His appointment also took effect on September 15.

The Head of State revoked the appointment of Gichira Kibaara who was serving in the role.

At the same time, Ruto had appointed Bernard Kimutai Maiyo, Beatrice Amugune, and Isha Anand as members of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board. The appointments take effect immediately.

Other appointments captured in the gazette notice include others made by cabinet secretaries.

CS Moses Kuria appointed Neddy Jeruto Kiptoo to to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Anti-Counterfeit Authority, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from September 15, 2023. 

CS Eliud Owalo appointed Valentine Khaminwa, John Kieru Wambui, and Kizito Chesesio, to be members of the Council of the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, for a period of three (3) years. It takes effect from September 15, 2023. 

Health CS Alice Wahome appointed Johnstone Kangethe as a member of the Board of Directors of the Athi Water Works Development Agency.
