The National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) has announced that it will begin meeting with various groups that have submitted memoranda to the committee from Friday, September 22, 2023.

Speaking on Monday, September 18, National Assembly Majority Leader and NADCO Co-Chair Kimani Ichung'wah said the groups would be given a maximum of twenty minutes to present their memoranda. 

“This Friday 22nd of September we shall be engaging with different stakeholders beginning with those who have already submitted their memorandums to be able to appear before this dialogue committee to give an exposition of their memoranda, briefly.

“We shall allocate each of the invited teams a maximum of twenty minutes to be able to give us an exposition of their memoranda,” said Ichung’wah.

Among the groups that will appear before the committee are the IEBC secretariat, the IEBC selection panel, and the two-thirds gender rule working group.

The Kikuyu MP noted that stakeholders have until 29 September to appear before the committee.

On his part, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka said the committee believes in public participation and urged stakeholders to submit their memoranda as the talks continue. 

On Monday, September 11, Kalonzo announced that the committee had received one hundred and forty-two memoranda on the inter-party talks.

“As of yesterday, NADCO - through the Technical Committee - has received 142 Memorandas from stakeholders. We continue to be impressed by the level of public participation in the Bipartisan talks,” he stated.
