Ezra Chiloba has been suspended as the Director General Communications Authority of Kenya. 

In a statement to newsrooms on Monday, September 18, Christopher Wambua has been named as the Acting DG of communications authority. 

According to the notice signed by Ms. Mary Wambui Mungai, who is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), the decision was reached on Monday after a board meeting. 

Mr. Ezra Chiloba was appointed Director General of the Communications Authority of Kenya on 28th September 2021.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Chiloba also served as the Chief Executive Officer/Commission Secretary of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) between 2015 – 2018.

In this role, he was responsible for the management and administration of an unparalleled large-scale and complex national election programme.
