“I want to assure all our supporters to cast their fears away that Kenya Kwanza is as intact as before."

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Cleophas Malalah had dismissed reports of a fallout within the ruling Kenya Kwanza coalition.

Speaking on Tuesday at the Bomas of Kenya after submitting the Kenya Kwanza memorandum to the National Dialogue Committee, Malalah said all political parties under the Kenya Kwanza coalition are united and agree on every issue presented to the public.

“You have been having a misconception of a divided Kenya Kwanza. You have seen today we have made a presentation of a unified front we have the Ford Kenya and ANC Secretary General here and I am here to represent the UDA party.

“I want to assure all our supporters to cast their fears away that Kenya Kwanza is as intact as before and therefore we do not want to entertain any rumor-mongering that we are divided as a coalition, we respect each other and we agree on every issue we represent in public,” said Malalah.

The UDA SG at the same time maintained that the coalition will not support the auditing of the 2022 general elections adding that they only support provisions provided by the constitution.

“On the issue of the 2022 elections, we are not in support of any audit. We are supporting the enactment of the constitution which provides for. If you think the 2022 general elections were not fair enough the provisions of the constitution are very clear,” he stated.

Malalah however, said the Kenya Kwanza coalition is in support of the entrenchment and establishment of the prime cabinet secretary’s office and the office of the leader of the opposition.

“We will ensure that we do away with winner takes mentality after an election. We want our country to feel more inclusive moving forward,” Malalah added.
