"So you will never be the governor of Mombasa I can give it to you," Kalonzo told Omar.

Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and EALA MP Hassan Omar clashed bitterly during the National Dialogue Committee meeting held on Tuesday, October 3.

Video footage of the clash seen by Nairobi Leo shows the two hurling words at each other in a manner that brought the NADCO sitting to a standstill.

"I have listened to Omar over time saying one constant factor and another constant factor. I want you to know one of those constant factors has been sitting here with you because as a running mate of Raila in 2013 and 2017. I know you were my secretary general," Kalonzo said.

Their exchanges forced the committee co-chair Cecily Mbarire to step in to intervene and cool both sides. But her attempts fell flat.

Omar fired back saying:

"You were defeated in the election of 2007 na ukapita katikati yao."

Kalonzo in a rejoinder stated:

"No, that is a different thing. But of course, I did and I saved your country. You know if you stop being childish Omar we will make progress."

The remarks sparked tension in the sitting with laughter being heard from a section of the committee members.

Omar, seemingly in a change of tone, asked Kalonzo not to get angry but the Wiper leader went on to fire an attack at him.

"So you will never be the governor of Mombasa I can give it to you," Kalonzo told Omar.

The remark angered Omar who fired back at him in a tone that depicted rage.

"That is why you will never be president of Kenya I can give it to you. Usitutishe hapa," Omar said.

At that time,  Mbarire was forced to intervene and asked both parties to cool their tempers.

But even so, Omar continued hurling words at Kalonzo telling him off over claims of trying to intimidate them.

As Mbarire tried to cool Omar, Kalonzo directed Omar to stop attacking Raila.

"Hassan kindly, Kindly. My co-chair, Kindly, Kindly," Mbarire said as she tried to contain the situation.

But Kalonzo pulled another attack.

"I am so ashamed that even at one time you were the secretary general of my party,"  Kalonzo said, occasioning another standoff.
