Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has rubbished claims by Deputy President William Ruto that his Yatta farm was grabbed from public land.

Addressing the media on Monday flanked by Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr, Kalonzo hit out at Ruto, noting that his claims were unfounded.

Kalonzo noted that the claims were meant to injure his reputation and invited investigative authorities to conduct a thorough investigation on the same.

“My attention has been to drawn to spurious allegations by Deputy President William Ruto concerning the ownership of my Yatta farm… DP Ruto made a frivolous and unsubstantiated claim to the effect that I grabbed government land in Yatta.

“The wild claims hold no water. The allegations are a cheap and a desperate attempt at character assassination… I have nothing to hide and I today challenge the authorities to open an investigation into this matter.

“I am today presenting myself for a thorough investigation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation as well as the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, I want the matter settled once and for all,” he said.

Meanwhile, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has accused his Makueni counterpart of being a bad influence to Kalonzo.

“Bro @SenMutula you have quickly changed brother @skmusyoka from spirit filled, peace loving ,polished resident of NYS Yatta farm to a ragtag spewing insults from a Nairobi 5 star hotel. Such insults are a preserve of Babu, Junet, Sifuna and Atwoli. You can’t beat them choose another style,” he tweeted.
