King Charles III and Queen Camila arrived in Kenya on Monday night.

A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer on Tuesday tripped and fell at State House while escorting their majesties King Charles III and Queen Camila to their vehicle.

In a video seen by nairobi leo.co.ke the officer who was accompanying the Monarch could be seen walking past them rushing towards the car but slipped and fell.

The soldier however picked herself up immediately and opened the vehicle door for King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

The incident caught President William Ruto’s attention who was talking with the King at the time.

It happened after the King and Queen had finished their activities at State House and were headed to Uhuru Gardens.

King Charles III and Queen Camila arrived in Kenya on Monday night on a four-day state visit and are scheduled to attend a series of events in Nairobi and Mombasa Counties.

The Royal Visit will also acknowledge the more painful aspects of the United Kingdom and Kenya’s shared history, including during the Emergency period (1952-1960).

His Majesty will take time during his visit to meet and listen to Kenyans who experienced or whose loved ones experienced the ills of this period firsthand.

The King and Queen will also forge the ties between the two countries and acknowledge Kenya's history in the fight for independence.
