The young hawker went viral after he was captured breaking down in tears after the Kanjo Akaris poured her groundnuts.


Principal Secretary in the State Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Susan Auma Mang'eni is appealing for information that can help her meet a youthful hawker whose stock of groundnut was allegedly destroyed by county askaris.  

PS Auma in a statement on the X platform sympathized with the hawker saying the incident impacted the life of the hawker negatively.  

"Dear compatriots, I implore your assistance in locating this hustler whose endeavors and livelihood have been detrimentally impacted," she said.

At the same time, Auma shared a message to Governor Johnson Sakaja asking him to work on modalities of ensuring hawkers have room to do their business.

Auma noted that the SMEs are key to the development of the country adding that they have a big role to play in the economy. 

"Respected County Government of Nairobi led by Governor Sakaja Johnson, I earnestly urge for the formalization and integration of micro and small enterprises, coupled with the establishment of secure operational environments. 

"It is imperative to preserve and nurture these enterprises, recognizing that their demise does not enhance Nairobi's affluence and prosperity," she stated. 

Auma implored various leaders to provide guidance and viable alternatives that can help business enterprises grow.
