Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has heaped praise on Popular Mugithi Singer Samuel Muchoki, commonly known as Samidoh following the launch of his foundation.

The Samidoh Foundation whose focus is to help the vulnerable, the youth and in particular, the boychild was launched on the night of Thursday, November 30, 2023.

From a humble background to a super Maestro in the Music Industry, Gachagua described Samidoh's story as a beautiful one.

"It is a story of resilience, hope and an inspiration to not only budding artists, but also to the youth, that they can make it in life, through hard work, focus and prayers," the DP said.

"Samidoh continues to stand out and inspire us through his music, innovation and creativity. We celebrate him and are very proud of him."

During the launch, Gachagua lauded the singer for bringing on board various stakeholders for the launch of the foundation.

He said the fact that the singer brought together men and women to be part of his journey was a testament that he is a man who values all.

"Giving back to Society is a Mark of Honour and the Right Thing to do. Congratulations Samidoh from President William Ruto and all of us."

CS Ababu Namwamba is among the state officials who graced the occassion.

 Principal Secretaries Alex Wachira (Energy) and Eng John Mbugua (Transport), Senators Betty Montet (Nominated), John Methu (Nyandarua), Karen Nyamu (Nominated), Wahome Wamatinga (Nyeri), Maureen Mutinda (Nominated) Karungo Thangwa (Kiambu), Joseph Githuku (Lamu) and Mirajj Abdillahi (Nominated), Woman Representatives Faith Gitau, (Nyandarua) Muthoni Marubu (Lamu), Betty Maina (Murang'a), Rahab Mukami (Nyeri) and Njeri Maina (Kirinyaga) also attended..

Others were Geoffrey Ruku of Mbeere North, Augustine Mwafrika (Roysambu), Benjamin Gathiru alias Mejja Donk (Embakasi Central) Eric Wa Mumbi (Mathira).
