Kibet's near-screamer goal earned him a salute from the police officer.

Sports and Youth Affairs Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba is tracing a police officer who was captured in a viral video honouring young footballer Aldrine Kibet.

Kibet is debuting for Kenya's Rising Stars in the CECAFA under-18 soccer challenge.

The youngster who trains with Spanish Nastic Sports Academy has had a magnificent run, scoring in almost every game he is fielded.

Kibet scored with a near-screamer in the Kenya versus Somalia match at Kakamega's Bukhungu Stadium prompting the law enforcer to make a formal salute to him.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Ababu hailed the officer for recognising Kibet's art.

The CS said he would seek an audience with him to appreciate the gesture.

"Afande nakusakanya. Hiyo salute to our super boys ni Talanta Hela spirit! Let’s talk," said Namwamba.
