- Kalonzo was at the DCI headquarters on Friday morning

Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has now challenged Deputy President William Ruto to present himself before investigative agencies and clear his name.

This comes hours after Kalonzo Friday presented himself at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters at Kiambu County Friday following allegations by DP Ruto that he had acquired Yatta land illegally.

“As a public officer entrusted with the responsibility of Kenyans, DP Ruto must open himself up to a lifestyle audit and declare his wealth,” the wiper party leader told the press after interrogation at DCI headquarters.

The Wiper Party leader maintained that he had nothing to hide adding that his political opponents were trying to injure his reputation.

"Today I have presented myself for public scrutiny by the DCI on the allegations that I grabbed my Yatta Farm.I have nothing to hide.I have and will always stand for integrity," Kalonzo tweeted.

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has also supported Kalonzo saying that the former VP acquired the land legally.

"Kalonzo owns yatta land and he acquired it very regularly and very legally.

"As a former Minister of Lands, I checked the details of that land and I found that Kalonzo had acquired that land very well," Ngilu said.
