ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo has come to the rescue of needy KCPE candidate David Muga who went viral on social media after asking for financial aid to join Form One.

Muga scored 399 marks in the 2023 KCPE exams and earned a spot at Maseno School.

However, the journey to his secondary education faced uncertainty due to financial constraints, with his father, a casual labourer, and his mother, a housewife, struggling to meet the required fees.

CS Owalo on Wednesday, January 3 accompanied the 14-year-old together with his father and mother to Maseno School and paid Sh 98, 625 as Form One fees.

The amount will cover for school fees, development Fees, parental support to the child of Ksh. 2,000 per term (6K per year), uniform, games kits, mattress, and other consumables.
