In a statement issued by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), candidates were advised to check on the online portal.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has released the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2023 examination results.

The CS released the results at Moi Girls High School, Eldoret on Monday, January 8 after briefing President William Ruto.

At least Of the 899,453 candidates sat for the 2023 KCSE examination, 450,554 were male, while 448,899 were female, representing 50.09 per cent and 49.91 per cent of the total candidature respectively.

This is after CS Machogu halted the use of SMS services.

How To Check on KNEC Portal

Visit the Official KNEC website (www.results.knec.ac.ke,)

Check for the KCSE Results tab, click on it

Select the year you sat for the Exams

Enter your Index number.

Finally, click the Submit button.

The KCSE results should show on the screen after a while.

"Individual 2023 KCSE candidates' examination results will be accessed online through a link on the KNEC website or directly through the URL: www.results.knec.ac.ke," a statement from KNEC read in part. 

"You will be required to enter the candidate's index number and the name (s) as per the registration data for the 2023 KCSE examination."
