  • Jubilee Party leadership is deliberating over expelling DP William Ruto.
  • The leadership was holed up in a 7-hour meeting discussing the disciplinary action the party will take against the DP.

Deputy President William Ruto’s troubles are brewing after Jubilee Party leadership held a meeting to discuss members association with UDA Party.

Jubilee vice chairperson David Murathe said the party was pondering over expelling the DP for ditching Jubilee in favour of the newly formed United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

“Those leaders pushing for the agenda of UDA, including the DP himself, will lose their seats. Just wait, things are cooking,” Murathe said.

The party's National Management Committee (NMC) held on Thursday resolved that disciplinary action be taken against Ruto and his allies .

According to Murathe, the party would look at the matter and those advancing the UDA agenda would lose their seats.

This comes in the backdrop of infighting within Jubilee Party with the DP blaming ODM Leader Raila Odinga for the party's failures to deliver as they had promised during the campaign season.

Ruto told the Orange Democratic Movement to take responsibility for the government’s failure to meet its development agenda.

“They pushed their way into the government through the handshake, they took over committees in parliament, they took over the running of government, three years down the line because they have failed miserably, they now want to run away from their own failure,” DP Ruto said.
