Ruto's classmate who spoke to the media indicated that she sought the President's help in seizing the said piece of land.

Emily Jepkemei, former President William Ruto's classmate has repossessed a 20-acre piece of land in Eldoret which she alleged was grabbed from her.

The woman, who was recorded engaging President Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto during his tour in Eldoret, recovered the contested piece of land after Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Sudi led a group of youth in carrying out evictions and demolitions.

Ruto's classmate who spoke to the media indicated that she sought the President's help in seizing the said piece of land.

"I was president's classmate and when he came to greet me, I told him that there is a person who had taken my land and I appealed for his help. The President inquired who else knew about the issue and I told him Oscar was aware of it. The president then directed Sudi to address the issue," she stated.

While overseeing the demolition exercise on Wednesday, Sudi accused the initial owner of colluding with officers to forge a title deed of the land.

"Following her complaint to President William Samoei Ruto, I presided over the recovery of 20 acres of land from land grabbers. The land PIONEER//NGERIA BLOCK I EATEC 1980 belongs to Emily Keter," Sudi stated.

"I will personally deal with Land grabbers decisively. Some of them are conniving with judicial officers, especially in Eldoret Town courts. Their time is up," Sudi vowed.

However, the evicted occupants of the land accused Sudi of violating court orders regarding the issue. They lamented that Sudi's actions had rendered them homeless.

They vowed to challenge the decision and action in court.

"We have a title deed. We went to court and the court deemed that the status quo should remain the same," the resident explained.
