The transfers will take effect on February 1, 2024.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki on Thursday, January 25 transferred 12 county commissioners to new stations.

In a statement, Kindiki said the transfers are aimed at enhancing service delivery within National Government Administration cadres.

Abdirisack Jaldesa has been moved from Mombasa to Nyandarua. He will be replaced by Mohamed Nur who has been serving in Tana River.

Erastus Mbui has been transferred from Kitui to Laikipia, Joshua Nkanatha moved from Kiambu to Murang’a and Jacob Ouma from Turkana to Meru.

Henry Wafula has been deployed to Makueni from Samburu. He was replaced by Onesmus Kyatha who has been serving in Nyamira.

CS Kindiki moved Hiram Kahiro Ministry Headquarters to Kwale, Kipchumba Rutto from Busia to Kitui and Susan Waweru from Nairobi to Siaya.

Apollo Okello has been transferred from West Pokot and appointed the personal assistant to the Rift Valley Regional Commissioner while Patrick Mukuria has been moved from Murang’a to Kisii.

At the same time CS Kindiki recalled five county commisonmers to the Ministry headquarters for redeployment.

The five include; Mohamed Barre, Joseph Kanyiri, Isaac Masinde, Tom Anjere and Jude Wesonga.

Kindiki further noted that all regional commoners and 24 county commissioners will remain at their current stations.

The transfers will take effect on February 1, 2024.
