  • Mike Sonko claimed he was part of the 'system' and 'deep state' that infiltrated ODM's protests.
  • He went on to name senior government officials he claimed they planned how to burn vehicles.

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko made damning claims on disrupting the Opposition's protests in 2017.

In a clip that has since gone viral on Twitter, Sonko claimed that the 'system' and 'deep state' infiltrated ODM's protests and planned how to burn vehicles.

"I want to say this, in 2017 during the ODM demonstration, me, Kibicho, and another deep state we printed ODM t-shirts, bought second-hand cars from showrooms, and went to burn them in Ngong' Road so that people think it's ODM," Sonko claimed.

The former Nairobi Governor made the revelations on Sunday, January 25, in Dagoretti South Constituency where he had accompanied Deputy President William Ruto.

Sonko was addressing the congregation where he admitted that he has worked with the 'system' and 'deep state' where they partake in what he termed as "spinner campaigns".

He claimed that the deep state fabricates scenarios in order to push agendas against its opposition.
