The seven shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on March 18, 2024. 

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has shortlisted seven candidates to replace Anne Amadi as the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary.

In a public notice on Friday, February 16, JSC said the seven candidates were selected from a total of 43 applicants who were interested in the position.

“Following the advertisement of the position of Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, the Commission received a total of forty-three (43) applications. Having reviewed the applications for completeness and conformity with the constitutional and statutory requirements set out in the advertisement Ref. V/No. 30/2023 of 23rd October 2023, the Commission shortlisted a total of seven candidates,” read the notice in part.

The shortlisted candidates include; Macharia Rose Wachuka, Ouma Jack Busalile Mwimali, Mokaya Frida Boyani, Wambeti Anne Ireri, Ndemo Paul Maina, Kendagor Caroline Jepyegen and Kandet Kennedy Lenkamai.

The seven will be interviewed on March 18, 2024, at the JSC boardroom in CBK Pension Towers Nairobi.

“It is therefore notified for general information that the interviews for shortlisted candidates will be conducted by the Judicial Service Commission on 18th March 2024 at the time indicated in the interview schedule below at the Judicial Service Commission Boardroom, CBK Pension Towers, 13th Floor, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi,” JSC stated.

The commission called on members of the public to avail in writing any information of interest with respect to any of the shortlisted candidates using the contacts below.

“Please note that the Commission may interview any member of the public who has submitted information on any of the shortlisted candidates and such information shall be kept confidential,” JSC added.

Amadi left the Judiciary Chief Registrar position in January after serving for ten years. Paul Ndemo is currently acting as the Judiciary Chief Registrar.
