Fast-rising Radio 47 toppled other giants to claim fourth place nationally. It was followed by Radio Maisha and Kameme FM.

The latest Infotrak report has revealed the most popular radio and TV stations in the country.

According to a survey conducted by the company, Citizen Radio tops the chart of the most popular radio stations in the country in the category of top-of-mind awareness.

Citizen Radio topped the chart with 16 percent followed closely by Radio Jambo with 15 percent. Classic 105 came in third with a rating of 10 percent.

Inooro FM, Milele FM, Ramogi FM, Musyi FM, Kass FM, Chamgei FM, Mulembe FM, Capital FM, Kiss 100, Egesa FM, Vuuka FM and Bahari FM followed in that respective order.

Other ranked radio stations included KBC English Service, Ghetto Radio, Radio Maa, Sulwe FM, Radio Taifa, Muuga FM, Gukena FM, and others took the last market share of four percent.

TV Stations

At the same time, Infotrak revealed that Nairobi recorded the highest TV viewership in the country standing at 91 percent followed by Coast and North Eastern with 87 percent.

The most popular TV station according to the Infotrak survey based on awareness was NTV with a market share of 65 percent.

NTV was closely followed by KTN with 61 percent and KBC closed the top three positions with 37 percent.

K24 TV came in fourth place with 30 percent viewership shares and then TV 47 with 25 percent. KTN News followed with 20 percent and then Citizen TV and Inooro tied with 15 percent.

Other ranked stations in descending order include Kiss, Ramogi TV, Ebru TV, Switch TV, Gikuyu TV, Kass TV, Mzalendo TV, Pwani TV, Family TV, Shifu TV, MBCI, Sasa TV, Mutongoi TV and QTV.
