Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has reprimanded televangelist Benny Hinn following the conclusion of his Nyayo Stadium crusade.

In a statement, CS Kuria accused the man of the cloth of giving a one-sided view on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Kuria pointed out that it was wrong for the government to allow Benny Hinn to make such sentiments on TV during a national prayer event.

"It is wrong to give an Israeli preacher an opportunity to give one-sided views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on National TV and in such a quasi State function," Kuria stated.

He however made it clear that the preacher's sentiments have not swayed the country's belief and diplomatic stance on the Israel- Palestine war.

Kuria insisted that cessation of hostilities was still on top of the government agenda despite Pastor Benny Hinn's opinion.

"Kenya continues to call for a cessation of hostilities even as we show solidarity with Israel over the October 7th terror attacks. Kenya supports the rights of Palestinian people for self-determination."

Benny Hinn was born in Jaffa, Israel in 1952 and baptized in Jerusalem where he started his journey of faith. He has on numerous occasions called for peace between the warring countries.

His visit to Kenya followed a request from First Lady Rachel Ruto and other preachers in the country where he hosted a two-day crusade at Nyayo Stadium.

President William Ruto, his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua, and other top government officials attended the crusade. Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka also attended the crusade.

The preacher prayed for Ruto and Rachel and prophesied success in their leadership role in the country.
