"They had fled Nairobi to Kisumu upon hearing the DCI was on their trail. They were nabbed at Mountain View Estate within Obunga area of Kisumu County where they were hiding," DCI noted.

Chigozie was found in possession of cocaine valued at approximately Ksh600,000 wrapped in sachets of one gram each. The drugs were hidden on the ceiling of the house.

Moreover, DCI exposed three more foreign nationals who are facing cases relating to drug trafficking in the country. However, DCI vowed to intensify operations to nab traffickers in the country.

"The DCI is committed to ensuring the safety all Kenyan and their property and will continue these operations to keep our country secure. We shall continue to mount strategic roadblocks and conduct thorough investigations that bring suspects to book to ensure justice is served," DCI noted.

"We will also continue collaborating with the public for the safety and security of our country. We are especially thankful for the information received from members of the public, which helped to unearth the suspects' illegal operations and their whereabouts."
