Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has donated a bull aircraft to a primary school in a new bid to promote the aviation sector in the country.

The bull aircraft was delivered by Kenya Airforce officers to Moi Forces Academy, Nairobi. The Kenya Airforce team was led by Base Commander Moi Air Base (MAB), Brigadier Samwel Kipkorir.

According to KDF, the plane will be used by the school as an educational aid to aviation students at Moi Forces Academy as the primary school offers aviation as an examinable subject.

Having trained on the same aircraft, Brig. Kipkorir expressed his pride in the occasion, noting its significance, and looked forward to witnessing future pilots.

“To all aviation students, this presents an exciting opportunity. Despite its age, the fundamentals of aviation remain unchanged, laying a solid foundation for your career. I eagerly anticipate seeing you soar in the skies,” Kipkorir remarked.

James Maina, the Chief Principal of the school, expressed gratitude to the Kenya Air Force for their generosity and support. 

He emphasized the significance of the aircraft in maintaining student motivation and ensuring aviation students are well-versed in aircraft operations.

“As a school, we are committed to maintaining and utilizing this gift to its fullest potential. I urge all students with a passion for aviation to see this as a catalyst for achieving their career aspirations,” Maina affirmed.
