Former Riruta MCA Samuel Ndung'u and two others have been handed 30 years in jail.
The trio is accused of torturing and killing Lucy Njambi in 2018.
Njambi, an estranged wife to Ndung'u at the time of her death, was abducted from her home in Kiambu county, raped, doused in acid and left for dead in a coffee plantation.
A passerby picked her up and took her to a nearby hospital before she was referred to the Kenyatta National Hospital where she died.
Ndung'u and his co-accused were the prime suspects in the murder case.

They were found guilty on April 5 by Justice Joel Ngugi who after analysing the submissions by 38 witnesses was convinced they killed Njambi.
On Friday, April 12, Justice Ngugi handed them 30 years each in prison.
"Balancing the aggravating factors set out above and as best as I'm able for the murder of Lucy Njambi, the deceased, I hereby sentence each of the three accused persons to thirty years imprisonment. The sentence will run from April 2024 as that is the day they were placed in custody," said the judge.
The deceased's family however expressed their reservation on the judgment arguing it was lenient considering the torture their kin went through.
They called on Chief Justice Martha Koome to intervene and revise the sentencing of the trio to match the harm they caused Njambi.
