Bluetti, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, has launched its Lighting An African Family (LAAF) project in Kenya.

The Company donated 200 solar power kits to Manda Manewi Secondary School alongside Manda Airport Primary and Secondary Schools in Lamu County. 

This initiative aims at providing clean energy in rural African societies to address energy challenges in impoverished communities by enhancing educational opportunities for students.

Speaking at the event the Sales Manager of Bluettii Kenya, Allen Yan noted that Bluetti hoped to improve the learning environment of students through the donation of the solar power kits. 

 "The LAAF project's goal is to provide millions of African families with access to clean energy," remarked Yan.

Commenting on the donations, the Principal of Manda Secondary School Mr. James Kimemia said," "The Solar lighting products will assist the students with stable light to study during the night and help them to complete their assignments." 

Part of the solar power kits donated include battery packs, solar panels, and lights which will aid learning without the limitations of unreliable electricity supply.

The LAAF program has contributed to 10 countries, including Nigeria, Malawi, Chad, and Tanzania, with plans to expand further in 2024.
