Safaricom on Thursday announced a sh20 million sponsorship for the Connected Africa Summit 2024.

Safaricom on Thursday, April 18, announced a sh20 million sponsorship for the Connected Africa Summit 2024. 

The summit is scheduled to take place from Sunday, April 21st to Thursday, April 25th, at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi County.  

Safaricom will also provide services such as Wi-Fi connectivity during the summit, Network optimisation, Experiential Tech showcases, branding, merchandise, and Customer engagements. 

Cynthia Kropac, Chief Enterprise Business Officer, hands over a Ksh.20 Million Dummy cheque to Eliud Owalo, Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy as part of Safaricom support to the Africa Connected Summit 2024. 

Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa noted that by sponsoring the summit, they can create meaningful dialogue and collaborations that will drive Africa's digital transformation.

"Safaricom's commitment to this summit is a testament to the company’s dedication to creating together, broadening horizons, and moving forward into the future,” Ndegwa stated. 

The Connected Africa Summit 2024 is a platform for African leaders, investors, and businesses to come together and harness the vast opportunities presented by the digital economy while addressing barriers and pressing issues affecting our economies.
